After a bad experience of purchasing a sports coat off the rack and even having it altered, I decided that I needed to take a different route because nothing ever fit quite right. I met Bob through a mutual friend and to say it’s been a game changer is putting it lightly. I was concerned that buying customized clothing would be a budget killer, but I found that it doesn’t cost much more to go first class and you get what you pay for. I went from wanting one nice sports coat to working with Bob on many different occasions to build a nice collection of jackets, shirts and pants and I won’t go anywhere else ever again. Bob makes it a fun, enjoyable experience which isn’t easy for a person like me who hates to “shop.” I even talked my wife into going with me the second time I was going to see Bob because I knew she just had to meet him and be a part of the design process, and I think she enjoyed it more than I did. Since meeting Bob, he has helped me change the way I dress for meetings, events and various social and business gatherings and I feel more confident walking into a room. I can promise you that once you “build” your first piece of clothing with him, no matter what it might be, it will be very hard to ever buy off the rack again.

When my girlfriend surprised me with a custom tailored suit for my birthday by Bob Goldfarb Custom Clothing, I was truly surprised. “Just be here at 6pm in a pair of dress pants and dress shoes,” she told me, referring to her home. I thought maybe dinner out, but what I experienced was far more fun. When I arrived, Bob Goldfarb was there, immediately put me at ease, explained the process and regaled me with fascinating personal and professional stories as he carefully measured every area of my body and noted it. Next, we talked colors, materials, weights, lengths, widths, textures, finishes, pockets, button holes, buttons, cuffs, lapels, you name. I was in charge, yet when my taste went off the rails, Bob would politely and subtly right my train again with fashion suggestions that I might be more pleased with for the longer term. I opted for a snazzy navy blue wool blend, crisp white dress shirt with monograming and a lining that would turn Pablo Picasso’s head. Had I been pressed for time, the entire process would likely take an hour at most. But because Bob is entertaining and charming, and I enjoy fun conversation, we stretched it out quite a bit longer. Honestly, I don’t know what’s better: the suit itself, the process (including Bob’s return visit for the final fitting) or the memories of an awesome birthday every time I wear it.

Recently purchased various high end, high quality shirts from Bob Goldfarb. The clothing was very attractive and the experience was first class from sizing to pick up.
